Lithium batteries in the trash
GFL recently experienced a few incidents directly caused by lithium batteries in the trash. The attached infographic will help educate residents about items that most commonly cause load fires. The infographic also includes a QR code and website where residents can find drop-off locations for their lithium batteries in addition to other available disposal outlets such as county cleansweep programs.
